Our Online Classroom (Zoom)

All lessons at Aspirations International Education Hub are conducted online through Zoom.

Zoom is one of the most widely used video conferencing platforms in the world. It is reliable, easy to use, and familiar to most parents and students. Using Zoom allows us to conduct lessons that are interactive, structured, and engaging, similar to a physical classroom.

Through Zoom lessons, students can:

• Interact with the teacher in real time
• View lesson slides and teaching materials clearly
• Participate in discussions and ask questions
• Use annotation tools during lessons
• Collaborate with classmates during activities

This allows students to enjoy a flexible and effective learning experience from the comfort of their home.

What Students Need

Before joining the lesson, please ensure that students have the following:

• A computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone
• A stable internet connection
• The Zoom application installed
• A quiet learning environment
• A notebook and writing materials

For the best learning experience, we recommend using a laptop or tablet instead of a phone.

How to Download Zoom

If you do not already have Zoom installed, please follow the steps below.

On a Computer (Windows / Mac)

  1. Visit the official Zoom website (Click this link to visit the Zoom website to download the app: https://zoom.us/download)
  2. Download the Zoom Desktop Client
  3. Install the application
  4. Open Zoom once installation is complete

After installation, you will be able to join lessons using the provided Zoom link.

On a Smartphone or Tablet

You can download Zoom from the app stores below:

Search for “Zoom Workplace” and install the application.

After installation, open the app and you will be ready to join your lesson.

How to Join Your Lesson

Before each lesson, students will receive a Zoom meeting link.

To join the lesson:

  1. Click the Zoom link provided
  2. Open the Zoom application
  3. Enter the student’s name when prompted
  4. Wait in the waiting room until the teacher admits you into the class

Please try to join the lesson 5 minutes before the class starts.

Online Classroom Expectations

To ensure a productive learning environment, students are expected to:

• Join lessons on time
• Keep their camera on during lessons (unless instructed otherwise)
• Mute their microphone when not speaking
• Participate actively in class activities
• Show respect to the teacher and classmates

Our goal is to maintain a positive, respectful, and focused learning environment for all students.

Online Safety & Privacy Policy

At Aspirations International Education Hub, the safety and privacy of our students are extremely important to us.

All online lessons are conducted in a secure Zoom environment with the following safeguards in place:

• Waiting Room enabled – Students will only be admitted by the teacher.
• Only registered students may attend lessons.
• Screen sharing is controlled by the teacher to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Classroom behaviour expectations apply in all online lessons.

We kindly ask parents and students to observe the following:

• Students should join lessons using their real names.
• Students should attend lessons from a quiet and appropriate learning environment.
• Lesson links should not be shared with others.

These measures help ensure that all students can learn in a safe, respectful, and focused online classroom.

Missed Lesson & Recording Policy

To maintain fairness and consistency for all students, the following policies apply.

Missed Lessons

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson:

• Lessons cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
• Students are encouraged to inform the teacher in advance whenever possible.

This policy allows classes to run smoothly for all participants.

Lesson Recordings

All lessons will be recorded for learning and revision purposes.

Recordings may be shared with students who are enrolled in the class so that they can:

• Review the lesson content
• Catch up on missed material
• Reinforce their understanding of the topic

All recordings are used strictly for educational purposes and are not shared publicly.

Technical Issues

If a student experiences technical issues during the lesson:

• Please attempt to rejoin the Zoom meeting immediately.
• If problems persist, contact the teacher as soon as possible.

We recommend testing your internet connection and Zoom application before class begins.
